Loadbang

loadbang is a one-night blast of subversive, emergent video explored through mashup, video installation, net art and performance. Addressing the instability of authorship in new media art production, random and fragmented presentation of web-based video in a mashup asks us to question pre-existing ways in which we experience and curate them. How do time-wasting interactions such as web-cam performance, gaming, compression hacking, avatars and porn affect our appreciation of art? What is your erotic in terms of visuality on the Internet? How are vulgar uses of technology and appropriated images rearticulated as visual fetish? This exhibition aims to challenge expectations of art on the Internet and in real life.

Nude Glitch and Pixel porn are colouristic data-moshed clips from porn movies accompanied by sounds of signals. As a collector of carcrashes and explosions, Augusticnowicz found the two pieces to be rather "soft" formal experiments with porn as medium.
